The Lion Roars!

Installed OSX Lion last night! Began the 3.74GB download at 7.05PM and am up-and-running at 22.40. (Excuse poor quality of pix below -- taken in bad light at home!)

This includes time taken to back up my Snow-Leopard data!

That's awesome Apple! Not a hitch!

... it hasn't yet disappointed! I'm really loving the clean interface and the way it responds with as many bits of eye-candy and bells-n-whistles as my old (early 2008) MacBook allows. Its responses are fast and intuitive and I really love the marriage between the older Spaces and Expose to form a union known as Mission Control.

Also, the full-screen facility for most apps I use, is a great help because of my failing eyesight!

Sure, there are a few very minor things I miss and there _are_ somethings I'd rather not have (like Safari's cmd/opt/q shortcut to close all windows without having them reopened every time you relaunch Safari, for one ...) but overall I'm enjoying the Lion! :)
